What is A.B.L.E?

An active brake locking system using a one-way ball valve and check valve in a device that is connected to the brake lines of any vehicle with hydraulic brakes. The system is activated by means of a remote.

How does the brake come on?

The brake will only come on by the application of the driver, and the brake will remain on, the more the brake is pressed the stronger the hold on the brake.

Can the brake come on by itself?

No, A.B.L.E. will not activate whilst driving unless the remote is pressed and even then, the vehicle will only come to a gentle stop according to the brake pedal pressure.

What if I am hijacked at the lights?

Always keep the remote in your pocket. If a thief takes your car, let them take it, then press the remote and the car will come to a stop when the driver applies the brake and the brake will remain on.

What if they steal the remote?

Call police, they will be able to track your car by our tracking device in the A.B.L.E. system and when Police sight the vehicle, they can operate A.B.L.E. at their discretion. Saving the damage of stop sticks and danger to Police.

What if they cut the A.B.L.E. valve from the vehicle?

Then they will have a get-away car with no brakes! Reconnecting the lines will then require the brakes to be bled.

What if they use a tow truck?

Even if a vehicle is dragged on to a tow truck, the car can be tracked. When the A.B.L.E. system is active while parked, when the car is moved from its original position it will notify your phone for you to call the Police immediately.

What if I leave my remote in the car by accident and the car is stolen?

You can still activate A.B.L.E. using your phone and a code number for the tracker.

What if they disconnect the tracker?

A.B.L.E. will be automatically activated!

Is it expensive?

Not really, less than the cost of a year’s car registration for Victoria.

Is it difficult to fit?

We recommend it only be fitted by a qualified mechanic; it takes about half an hour.

Are there any ongoing costs?

Yes, the sim card for the tracker is approximately Au$5 per year.

Can I save on my insurance if I have A.B.L.E. fitted?

A.B.L.E. is in discussion with insurance companies to secure a discount for our clients.

Can more than 1 remote be used?

Yes, so long as all extra remotes are programmed to your tracker.

Is A.B.L.E. safe and legal?

Yes, A.B.L.E.  has A.D.R. Australian Design Rules compliance.
